section 02
About these terms
These terms and conditions apply to every order placed on this website by an individual acting as a consumer. They sit alongside Romanian Law no. 365/2002 on electronic commerce, Government Emergency Ordinance (OUG) no. 34/2014 on consumer rights and the Romanian Civil Code.
By placing an order you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. We may update them at any time, but each order is governed by the version in force on the day you placed it.
section 03
Your customer account
You can order without an account. If you do create one, your order history, saved addresses and subscription all live in one place.
You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your password private. If you notice activity that wasn’t you, let us know as soon as possible.
section 04
Orders and the contract
It’s simple: choose your products, add them to the cart, fill in the delivery details, choose how to pay and press “Place order”. That button means you are committing to pay.
- Right after you submit, we email you to confirm that we have received the order. This is not yet an acceptance.
- The contract is concluded when we email you again to confirm that we have accepted the order and are preparing it for dispatch.
- We may decline or cancel an order if the product is out of stock, if the displayed price contains an obvious error, or if there are reasonable grounds to suspect fraud. We will tell you straight away and refund anything you paid within 14 days at the latest.
section 05
Our products
We describe every coffee as faithfully as we can: origin, process, roast level and tasting notes. Coffee is a natural product, though, and tasting notes are a guide: they shift slightly from lot to lot and with the way you brew.
Photos are illustrative. The roast date is printed on every bag. Limited editions are available while stocks last.
section 06
Prices
- Prices are in Romanian lei (RON) and include VAT at the applicable statutory rate.
- Delivery is shown separately before you confirm the order. Orders of 200 lei or more ship free.
- Promo codes come with their own conditions, shown alongside them. One code per order, not combinable with other discounts unless stated otherwise.
- If a displayed price is obviously wrong (1 leu instead of 100, say), we will offer you the correct price or a free cancellation.
section 07
Payment
- Card online, through an authorised payment processor with 3-D Secure authentication. We never see or store your card details.
- Cash on delivery, paid to the courier in cash or by card where the courier offers it.
- At the counter, if you choose to collect your order from the café at Str. Exemplului 12.
Your VAT invoice is emailed to you together with the dispatch confirmation.
section 08
Delivery
We deliver across Romania through partner couriers, to easybox lockers or, free of charge, for collection from our café in Cluj-Napoca. Coffee usually leaves within 48 working hours of the order being accepted, freshly roasted.
The maximum delivery time is 30 days. If we cannot meet it, we will let you know and you can choose to wait or cancel with a full refund.
The risk of loss or damage passes to you once you (or someone you nominate, other than the courier) take physical possession of the parcel. Please check the parcel on arrival and report any damage within 48 hours, with a photo.
section 09
Right of withdrawal
You may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the products, without giving a reason and without penalty, under OUG no. 34/2014.
- Coffee bags that have been unsealed after delivery cannot be returned, for hygiene and health-protection reasons (art. 16(e) of OUG no. 34/2014).
- Coffee ground to order for your brew method cannot be returned, as it is a personalised product (art. 16(c)).
The exact steps, costs and the model form are in our Returns policy.
section 10
Warranty and conformity
Equipment and accessories carry the statutory two-year legal guarantee of conformity from delivery, under OUG no. 140/2021. If a product does not conform, you are entitled to a repair or replacement and, where neither is possible, to a price reduction or to terminate the contract.
Some equipment also carries a manufacturer’s commercial warranty, noted on the product page. For coffee, the reference is the best-before date printed on the bag.
Report a non-conformity to salut@zori.demo with your order number and a few photos. We will reply within 15 days.
section 11
Our liability
We are responsible for the products we sell as provided by law. We are not liable for delays caused by force majeure, for equipment used other than as its instructions describe, or for the website being temporarily unavailable.
Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumer-protection law gives you, nor any liability that cannot be limited by law.
section 12
Intellectual property
The texts, photographs, illustrations, the Zori name and logo belong to Zori or to partners who have licensed them to us. You are welcome to share them with a link back to the site, but not to reproduce or use them commercially without our written consent.
section 13
Your data
How we use the personal data you give us when you order is set out in our Privacy policy. What the site stores in your browser is listed in our Cookie policy.
section 14
Complaints and disputes
If something has gone wrong, write to us first: we look for a friendly solution and reply within 15 days at the latest. The contract is governed by Romanian law.
If we cannot reach an agreement, you can contact Romania’s National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) or use an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedure. Disputes not settled this way fall under the jurisdiction of the Romanian courts.
